From Scientific Rationality To Symbolic Representation Knowledge Capitalism

Abstract
The progress as to knowledge, science and technology as a result of instinct of curiosity, observation skills and the relation with the nature have contributed to the development of human being as a cultural and social creature. Together with the historical process of transition from modernism to postmodernism, as the conditions of the age in investments in revenue generating fields for economic gains have commenced to go to a number of significant and lasting change. The concepts such as Lyotard’s theory of science and postmodern knowledge theory necessitate questioning the basic existence values. In this study, within the process continuing from modernism to postmodernism and to present day, it will be focused on how to submit to capitalist interests by capitalist ruling class, through cultural industry and media production techniques created by using the power of the information content of ideology; with the help of public persuasion and manipulation, directed by postmodern advertising and marketing strategies and information technology.
